Meister Successfully Defends Family Business In Construction Dispute

Mr. Meister recently represented a small family business in a week-long trial involving various aspects of a multi-million dollar public construction project. Mr. Meister's client prevailed on all issues involved in the case.


Meister Obtains Injunction Prohibiting A Commercial Tenant From Removing Trade Fixtures and Furniture From Leased Property

On behalf of a landlord of a commercial rental property, Mr. Meister recently obtained an injunction that prohibited his client's tenant from removing trade fixtures, furniture and other property from a leased property pending the outcome of a dispute between his client and its tenant. Ultimately, as a result of quick and successful action by Mr. Meister, the case was successfully resolved.


Meister Successfully Challenges Adverse Decision Of United States District Court In A Case of First Impression Before United Staes Court of Appeals

The United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit issued a decision in a case argued by Mr. Meister involving issues arsing under the Illinois Public Construction Bond Act. The appeal involved questions of first impression in Illinois and was a tremendous victory for Mr. Meister's client, a large publically owned construction sub-contractor who, due to the wrongful acts of The Chicago Board of Education, was not paid for work that it performed at a Chicago public high school. Meister Successfully Defeats Lawsuit Brought Against His Client By The Buyer of Commercial Real Estate Seeking To Force Sale of Real Estate On Unfavorable Terms

In a recent decision by the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, Mr. Meister successfully defeated a lawsuit brought against his client, the owner of commercial real estate. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff, a prospective buyer of the real estate atempted to force Mr. Meister's client to sell the propertry on terms that were unfavorable to Mr. Meister's client. Mr. Meister was able to quickly defeat the buyer's lawsuit, thereby allowing his client to sell the property to a higher bidder.


Meister Prevails In Claim Against Property Insurance Company

Mr. Meister recently received a favorable setlement on behalf of his client, the owner of commercial real estate, who had a dispute with a large international property insurance company. Although the property insurance company attempted to deny a claim for property casualty brought by Mr. Meister's client, after Mr. Meister became involved in the dispute, his client was able to make a full recovery of its damages.


Meister Successfully Asserts Claims Against Condominium Developer On Behalf of His Client, A Condominium Association

Mr. Meister's extensive experience in condominium law recently came in handy when his client, a condominium association sought to enforce its rights against the developer of a condominium building. The developer failed to pay a number of bills that he was required to pay, failed to obtain proper permits for the condominium building and failed to make warranty repairs after receiving requests from the condominium association and various unit owners. Based upon Mr. Meister's work, his client was able to recover all amounts owed by the developer, together with all warranty work.
