Jacob J. Meister & Associates represents individuals in the employment context who have suffered from discrimination, harrassment and hostile work environments.  State and/or federal law prohibits employers from discriminating agasint their employees on the basis of sex, race, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation and other protected status.

Jacob Meister & Associates has an excellent record of achieving positive outcomes for clients who have been victims of discrimination based on the unlawful actions of employers.  We assist clients in the filing of complaints with the Chicago Commission on Human Relations, the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR)  and the Equal Employment Opportunity Council (EEOC).  If an individual is not able to achieve a satisfactory outcome after filing a complaint with these entities, the next step is the filing of a complaint in state or federal court.  We have obtained significant damages on behalf of clients as the result of filing suit against employers, both before a trial is conducted or after a trial and a finding of liability.
